![]() All the old code and unwanted images hidden on the drive, corrupt files etc are gone. ![]() ![]() This is a bit less catering than a TM restore, as you have to set some things up again yourself, but it sure does clean house as you only return to the machine exactly what you want. Some people at this point usually do a "fresh install" which is a erase and install, but rebuilds the computer from original programs sources and manually dragging and dropping files back onto the same named users new configuration. You also need to remove all your personal files to another external drive (not TimeMachine) as if your TM drive is borked too and you can't restore then your going to have issues and need to restore manually (aka fresh install method) using the files on the other external drive. Erase and install requires a nice clean and polished 10.6 disk that you can hold c and boot off of.
